Our first coin show as NumismaticSupplies.com was a great success. We were able to get our name out among local coin collectors and dealers and we received a great deal of encouragment with our business.
One lesson learned is to be more selective as to what merchandise to bring and in what quantity. We brought way too much, and while it made for an impressive display, it was sure a lot of work to load and unload. We will do more coin shows in the future, it's an excellent way to meet and learn from our customers.
Unfortunately, we were too busy taking care of cutomers that we didn't have an opportunity to peruse the bourse floor, and we didn't get to take any pictures. I would have loved to have picked up a couple of nice coins, but I didn't have a chance to leave my booth for very long at a time. We had a steady stream of customers all day Saturday, though Sunday was pretty slow.
Susan enjoyed the show, and found an interest in notgeld. She picked up some nice samples and next month she will go to the coin club with me where the speaker will give a presentation on notgeld.
That's about all there is to report today. NumismaticSupplies.com is continuing to grow and we are still having a blast.

Numismatic Supplies at the JCNS Annual Coin Show in Lenexa Kansas
Today we got the exciting news that Numismatic Supplies has been reserved a booth on the bourse floor at the annual Johnson County Numismatic Society Coin Show. This will be our first show and we are looking forward to the opportunity of meeting other coin collectors from the region and to introduce our business to the coin collecting community.
We will post plenty of pictures of the event and blog live from the show on the weekend of October 8-9.
